In the 25+ years that I have been a freelance editor and writer, I’ve done so much that it’s hard to summarize it all in a single page. So I’ve created separate pages to highlight some aspects of my business. Click on the pages for Freelance Medical Writer and Editor and My Book What to Charge for more about the two main parts of my portfolio.

Yes, my main business is as a freelance medical writer and editor. I work in all areas of medicine, writing and editing material for physicians, other health care professionals, and patients. I work in many media: books, journals, websites, etc. You name it, I’ve probably done it.

My main personal legacy is my book What to Charge: Pricing Strategies for Freelancers and Consultants. It’s won the praise of both seasoned and novice freelancers. The second edition is available in both print and Kindle versions from Amazon.

The book is the outgrowth of a workshop on pricing that I’ve given for freelance organizations. You see, I have several sideline businesses. One of them is creating and presenting workshops and seminars on editing and freelancing. I love teaching and sharing my knowledge with others.

Another sideline to my business grew out of a hobby: I create crossword puzzles! I’ve actually been paid for having puzzles published. Creating crosswords is a time-consuming task, but what a thrill!
