This is my first blog post on my own website. I’ve ghosted blogs for physicians. I’ve written guest blogs for other websites. But this is the first blog on my own site.

I’m glad I discovered NAIWE. Much of my success in my 25 years as a freelance medical writer and editor I owe to networking through professional organizations. I hope to share my experience with fellow NAIWE members and gain from them as well.

The second edition of my book What to Charge: Pricing Strategies for Freelancers and Consultants was just published. I anticipate that much of what I write here will be about the book and pricing in general. After all, what to charge is the second most important concern of every freelancer. (The first is how to find work. I do not consider myself an expert on marketing. Yet I must have been doing something right to have had a thriving business all these years!)

Hello, NAIWE member!
